After over a decade, we’ve given the Rabbinical Assembly Pesah Guide a makeover for 5786. You’ll find a new introduction, updated directions on kashering with an expanded list of kitchen items, and the sections on which foods can or cannot be consumed or purchased has also gone through revisions that will hopefully bring more options and increased clarity.

Rabbinical Assembly members with questions about the content of the Pesah Guide should contact Aaron Alexander, Chair of the Kashrut Subcommittee on the CJLS. Answers to many of the questions already submitted are published here. Rabbi Aaron Alexander’s reflections on Kashrut and Passover halakhah can be found here

Members of the public can learn more about Pesah by visiting our sister site Exploring Judaism or by contacting their closest congregation (which can be found with the USCJ Congregation Finder).

The Rabbinical Assembly Hagaddah, Feast of Freedom, can be purchased from our online bookstore. Articles about the holiday in our RA journal, Conservative Judaism, can be downloaded free by members and are for others at a nominal price.
